Tech Tip – Windows 11 : Customise Your Touch Screen Keyboard

If you have a touch screen PC running Windows 11, the operating system gives you the ability to customise the touch screen keyboard with different colours and themes. Here is how to change the touch screen:

To enable the touch screen keyboard in the first place

• Right-click the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings"
• Click on the slider to the right of "Touch keyboard" to turn it to on

To customise the touch keyboard

• Click Start, select Settings
• Select "Personalisation" and "Text Input"
• Select the colour theme you want to use
• Alternatively, click on the "Customized theme" radio button
• Select "Edit" to set up a touch keyboard theme with your own colour choices.
• Click on "Save" to create and select your new colour scheme
