Tech Tip – How To Share Your Location With A Friend On WhatsApp
If you are meeting up with someone, or you want one of your friends to know exactly where you are (especially for safety reasons such as meeting up with a blind date) WhatsApp has a quick and easy way to share your location with anyone you choose at the tap of a button.
Here's how to use it:
- Open WhatsApp
- Tap on the messages button at the bottom of the screen and select the contact you want to share your location with
- Tap on the + sign or the paperclip next to the message box
- Tap on "Location"
- Agree to continue and decide how you would like to use your location if prompted
- Tap "Share Live Location"
- WhatsApp will then share your exact location with the other person in the messenger chat
