Tech Tip – You Can Add Notes To Passwords With New Chrome Password Manager
A new feature has been added to Chrome’s built-in password manager means that means users will soon be able to store notes with their passwords.
The feature, currently limited to Chrome’s latest Canary release, means that:
- A new "Notes" field will soon appear in Google Chrome's password manager. This will be located under the user name and password fields
- The new "Notes" field will appear when either creating a new password or editing an existing one
- The new "Notes" field is being added to allow users to give context to their password and account information, such as additional hints for security questions and answers that were used when setting up the account
