Tech Tip – Using Microsoft’s Floating "Edge Bar"

The Microsoft Edge Bar is a handy, floating sidebar / mini browser (using the Bing search enging) that comes with the latest version of Edge in Windows. It makes searching and accessing email and other applications and platforms quicker and easier. Here is how to enable and use it:

• Open Microsoft Edge
• Click on the three horizontal dots at the top right of the browser
• Select "Settings" from the menu
• Select "Edge Bar" from the settings menu on the left hand side
• Click on "Open Edge Bar" 
• The Edge Bar will open

You can use this to quickly search the web, display your widgets, search Outlook and Linked In (all added by default) or you can additional locations by clicking on the + symbol and following the steps.
