Tech Tip : Use "Sticky Notes" to create virtual Post-it notes on your PC
Do you need to take quick notes or aide memoires and are often scrabbling around your desk for a pen and scrap of paper or Post-it pad?
Instead why not use Sticky Notes, an application that creates digital post-it notes? This very simple but effective application allows you to use virtual notes you can digitally stick on your desktop.
Here is how to do it:
- On your PC, press the 'Windows and S' keys simultaneously, then type 'Sticky Notes' and press enter
- This will launch Sticky Notes, if you haven't used it before, click 'Get started' and it will use your Microsoft account to login, the next time you launch it, you should not need to do this, it will just go right into the sticky notes
- Click on + to create a new note
- You can resize your notes, move them about on the screen to re-order them or move them to a more prominent position as an aide memoire
- You can also choose different colours for your notes to help categorise them, to do this, click the three dots at the top right of the note and pick a colour from the pallet
