Tech Tip : Recover Unsaved Word documents
Do you use the desktop application Microsoft Word?
Did you know that Microsoft Word automatically saves your documents as you work, even if you haven't set this up. What is more, you can also review these files and, fingers crossed, recover any data you think you may have accidentally lost.
Here is how to recover potentially lost data:
- Open Microsoft Word
- Click File
- Select Info
- Select Manage Documents
- Click on recover Unsaved Documents
- This will display a list of anything that it has saved in the background that you may not have deliberately saved
- Find the document you are looking for and open it
- Save the data
Hopefully this feature will save a lot of headaches in the future.
