Tech Tip – Outlook Favourites to Help See New Emails in Multiple Mailboxes
Do you have more than one mailbox connected to your Microsoft Outlook application? Would you like to be able to keep an eye on new emails coming in without having the scroll up and down multiple folders? Use Favourites in Outlook to highlight specific folders such as the inboxes for each mailbox at the top of hte folder list
Here is how to use Favourites:
- Open Microsoft Outlook
- Navigate to the folder you want to have at the top of the folder pane
- Right click on the folder and click on "Add to Favourites"
- Repeat this on all of the folders you want to have at the top of the folder pane
You should now see, on the left hand side in the folder pane, all of the folders at the top. This is really handy if you need to monitor the inbox of shared mailboxes or other colleagues that may be on leave and you need to monitor any new emails in their inbox.
The folders in Favourites will show the number of unread emails in that folder.
You can navigate to the folder by clicking on the favourite folder, it will show the folder contents in the folder pane and reading pane, helping to manage email more effectively and saving you a lot of time!
