Tech Tip – How To Share Your Location In WhatsApp

Would you like to be able to let others know your location in WhatsApp, for example, would you like to share your location when you are out and about and meeting up with a group of friends?  

Here's how to turn it on:

• Open the settings on your phone
• Tap on Apps (in Android) or just scroll down (in iPhone) until you find WhatsApp
• Select WhatsApp and find Location
• Set the Location setting to "Always"
• Open WhatsApp on your phone
• When you are typing a message and want to share your location, tap on the + and select Location
• This will then share your live location for the duration you set

If you would like to turn off location sharing, follow the steps above and when you are in the location settings for WhatsApp, change it back to "off" or "when using the app"
