Tech Tip - How To Quickly View The Desktop Without Having To Minimise All Running Applications
Are there times when you have lots of applications open in Windows and you need to have a sneaky peek at the desktop, but you just don't want to have the hassle of minimising each application and then having to open them back up again once you have found what you wanted on the desktop?
There is a feature in Windows called "Desktop Peek" that allows you to quickly minimise all running applications to have a quick look at the desktop and then you can recover all running applications as quickly. Here is how to do it:
- To have enact Desktop Peek so you can quickly look at the desktop move the mouse to the bottom right hand corner of the screen and hover over the vertical line that appears and click it to minimise all running applications
- To restore all running applications back as they were, move the mouse back to the bottom right hand corner of the screen and hover over the vertical line that appears and click it again and all the applications will restore back how they were
This is a really handy feature if you need to look at something on the desk top quickly allowing you to check things and return without it affecting your workflow
