Tech Tip – How To Customise Quick Actions In Windows Action Centre
Microsoft Windows has an Action Centre which is where you will find application notifications and where you can access and setup quick actions, such as putting your computer into Flight Mode at the click of the mouse.
You can customise the quick actions and tune it to things you use the most frequently. Here's how to do it:
- In Windows, open the action centre by pressing the Windows key + A or click on the Quick Action menu (in the task bar, click on the area showing the network, volume and power (if showing) icons and it will open Quick Action menu
- Click the little pen icon at the bottom
- This allows you to add or remove quick actions such as (but not limited to):
- Battery Saver
- Colour profiler
- Mobile hotspot
- Nearby sharing
- Night light
- Project
- You can drag and drop and move icons around when in edit mode
- Click done when you have finished editing and arranging your quick actions
