Tech Tip – How To Customise Quick Access in File Explorer
Are there folders that you regularly access and use?
Do you rely on going to "Recents" in Windows Explorer?
Did you know there is a way to pin frequently used folders in Explorer using a feature called Quick Access so that you can access your files?
Here is how to do it:
- In Windows, open Windows Explorer
- Search to the folder you want to include in Quick Access
- Right click on the folder and from the menu that comes up, select "Pin to Quick Access"
- You will notice in Windows Explorer, on the left, the file pinned to Quick Access so you can just click on it
- If you no longer want to have it displayed in Quick Access, navigate to the folder in the Quick Access list and right click on it
- Then select "Unpin from Quick Access" and it will be removed from the Quick Access list. Don't worry, this will not delete the folder, it just removes it from being displayed in the Quick Access list
Have a play with this and see if it helps improve your productivity!
