Tech Tip – How To Carry Out A Quick Check To See If Any Of Yours Passwords Have Been Leaked

Google has updated Password Manager in their Chrome browser which allows you to quickly check if any of your passwords have leaked, been compromised or involved in a data breach.
Here’s how to use it:
- Open Google Chrome browser
- Click on the three dots (top right hand corner)
- Select "Google Password Manager" from the drop down menu
- Click on the menu "Check-up"
- This will show you
- Compromised passwords
- Password uniqueness
- Any weak passwords
- Follow the recommendations, such as changing any weak passwords for stronger or changing any compromised passwords
- You should periodically check in with the password tool to check that your passwords integrity is sound
