Tech Tip – Getting Google Chrome Or Microsoft Edge To Remember Your Passwords

Popular browsers have built in password managers however there can be occasions when an issue, such as conflicting extensions that have been installed, cause the browser to malfunction and not remember your passwords. 

Here is how to fix it for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge:

For Google Chrome:

• Open the settings menu by clicking on the three dots in the top right hand corner and selecting Settings from the menu
• Click on Autofill on the left hand menu
• Click on Passwords
• Click the  Offer to save passwords toggle to enable the feature
• Close the settings

For Microsoft Edge

• Open the settings menu by clicking on the three dots in the top right hand corner and selecting Settings from the menu
• Click on Passwords
• Click the  Offer to save passwords toggle to enable the feature
• Close the settings
